GWNET’s 2025 Annual Report

GWNET’s 2025 Annual Report provides an overview of our activities, achievements, and key milestones over the past year. Despite a challenging global context, 2025 was marked by programme expansion, strengthened partnerships, and continued progress in advancing gender equality in the energy sector. The report highlights our work across mentoring, networking, advocacy, research, and training, as well as our collaborations with funders and partners.

Key highlights from 2025 include:

  • Our global network of women energy professionals grew to over 5,000 individual members from more than 150 countries, reflecting the continued relevance and global demand for inclusive energy transitions.
  • GWNET has now successfully implemented 30 mentoring programmes worldwide, thereby supporting the career development of 1,100 female energy professionals.
  • We also launched several new initiatives, including the Pacific Women in Power mentoring programme with the World Bank, Empowering Women in Green Hydrogen in Kenya with GIZ, and the Women Leadership for Energy Transition Think Tank Representatives with INETTT.

GWNET expresses its deepest thanks to all the mentors, members, mentees, partners, and supporters for their dedication to advancing our shared mission throughout another meaningful year.
