Women in Power System Transformation Mentorship Program

The Women in Power System Transformation (Women in PST) Initiative and the Global Women’s Network for the Energy Transition (GWNET) have launched a joint mentorship program to amplify the voices of women in energy and create a platform to enhance women’s participation and leadership in the transformation and decarbonization of power systems around the world. On this page, we are excited to present the inaugural cohort of mentees, a diverse group of 20 participants hailing from Africa, Asia, and North and South America, with a range of interests and areas of expertise.

The Women in PST initiative is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented through the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and the Global Power System Transformation (G-PST) Consortium. Its goal is to expand leadership and technical training opportunities for women in the power sector.

Please add the mentee and mentor quote cards, the names can also be displayed in accordion.

About Women in Power System Transformation (Women in PST) Initiative: The Women in Power System Transformation (PST) initiative—formally launched at the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and implemented through the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and the G-PST Consortium—was created to address educational and professional barriers to women’s entry and advancement in power system operation organizations.
