GWNET Mentoring Programme 2018

GWNET’s mentoring programme provided a tailored, global support system for women in junior and middle management roles in the energy sector. Launched in April 2018, the programme focused on creating compatible mentor-mentee matches to support participants’ career growth. Though primarily run online over 12 months, the programme encouraged in-person meetings at relevant events to enhance relationships.

Key elements included a web-based kickoff meeting, followed by knowledge webinars that brought mentors and mentees together as a group. The programme wrapped up with an interactive online graduation meeting, allowing participants to celebrate their progress. Mentors and mentees dedicated approximately two hours per month to these structured activities.
