On 25 June, the GWNET Governing Board officially approved the 2025 Annual Report as well as the 2025 Annual Accounts. The Board also extended its appreciation to the team at GWNET’s International Secretariat for their ongoing dedication and hard work in advancing women in the global energy transition.

GWNET’s 2025 Annual Report reflects on a year of resilience, growth, and global collaboration. Throughout the past year, GWNET has expanded its programmes, strengthened partnerships, and contributed to key global discussions on the gender–energy nexus. Through our core pillars of networking, mentoring, training, and advocacy, we continued to empower women in the energy transition.

Some highlights from 2025 include:
• Reaching a new record of supporting a total 1,100 women worldwide through our mentoring programmes since our founding.
• Growing our global mentor pool to more than 1,200 experienced energy professionals.
• Expanding our network of women energy professionals to over 5,000 members across more than 150 countries.
• The launch of new initiatives including the Pacific Women in Power mentoring programme with the World Bank, Empowering Women in Green Hydrogen in Kenya with GIZ, and the Women Leadership for Energy Transition Think Tank Representatives with INETTT.

These achievements would not have been possible without the dedication of our mentors, mentees, members, partners, funders, and supporters. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who continues to contribute to GWNET’s mission of advancing a just and inclusive energy transition worldwide.
