Energising Women to Advance the Energy Transition was organised in cooperation with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and supporting partners adelphi and Guidehouse on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). The initiative set out to advance the careers of mid-career women working in the energy transition across select countries under Germany’s energy partnerships and energy dialogues.
The second cohort was made up of more than 100 women working in sustainable energy. The mentees came from all over the world, including Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC); the Middle East and North Africa (MENA); East and Southern Africa; and Asia. Each selected mentee was matched with a hand-picked mentor based on their career aspirations, facilitating a bilateral exchange throughout the programme. Additionally, an exclusive online course on energy and personal development topics was organised to foster professional and personal growth among the mentees.
