PROGRAMMES | CURRENT MENTORING PROGRAMMES
GWNET, in collaboration with the Clean Cooking Alliance (CCA) and Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), is excited to launch the fourth cohort of a mentorship program specifically targeting women in the clean cooking sector in Africa, Asia, and Haiti. Following the success of our 2021, 2022, and 2023 cohort we are thrilled to continue supporting and uplifting women in the clean cooking sector.
Access to clean cooking stoves and fuel not only saves lives but also empowers women by protecting their health, freeing up their time, and saving money. Despite the potential for women to drive progress in the clean cooking sector, they remain underutilised in achieving policy implementation and market growth. The mentorship programme provided participants with career-advancing activities, concrete goals, and opportunities for networking and knowledge-sharing over the course of a year. Key components included bilateral interactions with senior mentors, knowledge-transfer webinars, and an online storytelling series that showcased the experiences of women in clean cooking.
About SEforALL: Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) is an international organization that works in partnership with the United Nations and leaders in government, the private sector, financial institutions, civil society and philanthropies to drive faster action towards the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7) – access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all by 2030 – in line with the Paris Agreement on climate. SEforALL works to ensure a clean energy transition that leaves no one behind and brings new opportunities for everyone to fulfill their potential. Visit website.
