PROGRAMMES | CURRENT MENTORING PROGRAMMES
The Pacific Women in Power (PWIP) Program is a 9-month mentoring initiative, delivered in partnership between GWNET and The World Bank. The program aims to empower women as agents of change driving the energy transition across the Pacific. PWIP’s objective is to increase women’s employment in Pacific Island energy institutions, fostering a stronger, more diverse energy sector that contributes to broader economic development in the region.
Through one-on-one mentoring, knowledge sharing, and networking, the program supports women at different stages of their careers—particularly those working in or aspiring to enter technical STEM roles in the energy sector, including early to mid-career professionals with 2–6 years of experience, women aiming for leadership positions, and final-year university students in relevant STEM fields.
What the Program offers:
The PWIP Program is open to women working in utilities, as well as current and prospective STEM university students. The initiative welcomes applicants from Samoa, Tonga, Solomon Islands, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Republic of Marshall Islands, and the Federated States of Micronesia.
