The 2023 Women in Clean Cooking Mentorship Program, co-organised by the Clean Cooking Alliance (CCA), Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), and the Global Women’s Network for the Energy Transition (GWNET), marked the third edition of this initiative, supporting early to mid-career women in the clean cooking sector. Increasing access to clean cooking is crucial for promoting gender equality, tackling climate change, and enhancing the health and safety of women. Additionally, this fast-evolving sector presents numerous employment opportunities for women.
This year’s program featured its largest cohort yet, with 90 participants from Africa, Asia, and Haiti, all bringing diverse expertise to the program. Each mentee was paired with a carefully selected mentor based on their career aspirations, facilitating a year-long exchange designed to foster professional growth and development.
