Short Bio:
Tatiana Guerrero is a Principal Engineer and Project Director at BBA, with over twenty years of experience in power systems engineering and renewable energy integration. She has led multidisciplinary teams in the design and implementation of major infrastructure projects across Africa, Latin America, and North America, including work in Burundi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Bénin, Ghana, Sénégal, Sierra Leone, Haiti, Chile, Colombia, Perú, Argentina, Indonesia, Nepal, Canada, and the United States. Tatiana holds two master’s degrees—one in Applied Science and another in Project Management—which strengthen her ability to bridge technical precision and strategic leadership. She also earned professional certificates in Sustainability in Industry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and in Energy Management from ESAN University. Her expertise spans hydroelectric, solar, wind, and hybrid renewable projects, as well as AIS and GIS substations and underground transmission lines. She has collaborated with leading international funding institutions such as the World Bank, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, and the African Development Bank, ensuring that each project aligns with sustainability and energy transition goals. Fluent in French, English, and Spanish, Tatiana is an active member of CIGRÉ and IEEE, and contributes to Women in Energy (CIGRÉ) and IEEE Women in Engineering (WiE), promoting diversity, inclusion, and leadership among women in the energy sector.
