Short Bio:
I am a Project Developer at Power32 supporting the commercial development strategy for methanol-as-power solutions across the Caribbean region. My career trajectory—from legal background through technical engineering to commercial strategy—has equipped me with a distinctive perspective on how to operationalise energy transformation in emerging markets. Professional Background My journey into energy began with engineering, followed by legal studies with a focus on regulatory frameworks and contract law. This hybrid foundation has proven invaluable in my current role, where I translate between technical teams, manufacturers, regulators, and commercial stakeholders. At Power32, I have progressed from supporting senior legal counsel to leading bid management for major Caribbean utility RFPs and now developing projects within the region. As a woman entering project development in the Caribbean energy sector—a field where women remain significantly underrepresented in commercial leadership—I recognise the critical importance of intentional professional networks. The energy sector’s climate and energy security imperatives demand the full participation of women in decision-making roles. I am committed to building networks that normalise women’s leadership in commercial development, project management, and strategic energy planning. I offer ground-level perspective on energy commercialisation in small island developing states, where project development faces unique constraints: limited utility scale, fuel supply vulnerabilities, and sovereign debt considerations. I also bring expertise in alternative fuel technologies (particularly methanol-as-power) and the regulatory navigation required to bring innovative solutions to market in emerging economies.
