Short Bio:
• As Business Development Manager of TurSEFF (https://www.turseff.org/) – Turkey Sustainable Energy Financing Facility – Selen is focused on generating new projects pipeline and building strategic networks/cooperations for TurSEFF’s finance instruments. TurSEFF, is a programme developed to provide financing for Sustainable Energy and Resource Efficiency investments in the public and private sectors. The Facility has been developed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and has been supported by the European Union (EU) since 2010. The total fund amount of the new phase of TurSEFF started in 2017 is € 400 million. Only in 2020, 300 sustainability projects were financed by TurSEFF despite the Covid-19.• TurSEFF is implemented by Stantec (https://www.stantec.com/en), a global strategic consulting and engineering firm which operates in environment, water, infrastructure, and energy sectors. As a member of Stantec Turkey’s “Energy Team”, Selen takes an active part in publishing reports and articles on various segments of Turkish renewable energy market.• Managed the project development process for EkoRE’s high-technology and high-efficiency PV (Photovoltaic) Panel Manufacturing Plant project (1 GW/year Ingot – Wafer – Cell – Module), which was granted with “special project” status and the incentives offered by the Turkish government totaling up to 4.2 billion TL.• 19 years of experience in various segments of energy business including power plant investments
