Short Bio:
Nikki Brown (Godwin) Co-Founder of the Global Network, Women in LPG (WINLPG) I was educated at Northampton High School for Girls and gained a Business Honors degree at Westminster University in London. Following the birth of my daughter in 1992, I joined Cavagna Group UK in 1994 as a PA and within twelve months changed roles to UK Sales Manager. In 1999 I was appointed as UK Sales Director and then took over the position of Managing Director in 2004 until I retired in 2016. In 2004 I was elected to the Board of Directors of UKLPG, the National Association supporting the LPG Industry in the UK. I was unique as a female board member at that time and in 2012 I was elected as Chairman, the first female chair in the Associations history. When I stood down from my role in 2016 there were eleven Board members of which four were women. We launched the WINLPG Global Network in 2015 and I was the first Chairman of the network from its creation in 2015 until 2018. Following my retirement from Cavagna Group in 2016, I moved to France and from there continue to actively support the WLGA WINLPG initiative as the Co-Founder. I manage the global membership and the National Chapters but support and develop solutions to meet ongoing gender diversity challenges within the Global Liquidgas Industry. Once of my main focuses at the present time is the development of strategies related how better inclusion can support the transition to an sustainable clean energy future.
