Short Bio:
I am an energy policy and international affairs professional currently working as a Project Coordinator at the ECO Clean Energy Center (CECECO)—an intergovernmental organization jointly established by UNIDO and the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO). In my role, I support the implementation, monitoring, and execution of multi-country programs across the ECO region, focusing on renewable energy, energy efficiency, capacity-building, policy advisory, quality infrastructure, and investment promotion. I work closely with regional stakeholders, donors, and financial institutions, and prepare monthly analytical inputs on international energy and climate developments. Before joining CECECO, I worked as an EU Project Officer at the Sustainable Value Hub in Brussels, where I coordinated high-level renewable energy initiatives with partners such as WindEurope, the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, and the Turkish Wind Energy Association. I contributed to strategic project development, stakeholder engagement, and policy-driven sustainability initiatives. I was also the main organizer of the “Skills for the Green Transition” panel during EU Green Week 2023 in partnership with the European Commission. Earlier in my career, I served as a Policy Assistant at the Permanent Representation of Azerbaijan to the European Union, where I monitored EU institutional developments, analyzed policies relevant to Azerbaijan, and supported diplomatic outreach. I also worked with the International Mediation Campus, conducting research on conflict sensitivity and organizing peacebuilding seminars focused on the Western Balkans and the South Caucasus. I hold a Master’s degree in International Politics from KU Leuven and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Bilkent University. I am fluent in Azerbaijani, English, Russian, and Turkish, with intermediate proficiency in German.
