Short Bio:
Marta Mieres Bárcena is Industrial Engineer (1995-2003) with an intensification in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oviedo – Asturias (Spain).
She holds Master´s degree in International Commerce from the Chamber of Commerce of Oviedo, and holds a Master´s degree in Strategic Marketing Management from ESADE Business & Law School.
She has worked in the energy sector since 2005, first as part of the Lines and Networks Department in EDP Energía where she was linked to the development and implementation of wind farms.
Since 2007, she works at Phoenix Contact GmbH, being responsible for the strategic and commercial planning of the Solar Power Generation Business Area, with special dedication in recent years to the emerging markets of Southern Europe and South America.
She collaborates with the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAI) as a mentor in STEM disciplines, and collaborates, among others, with the Carlos III University of Madrid as a speaker at International Technical Conferences on different matters related to the present and future of renewable energies.
