Short Bio:
Inaiê Takaes Santos is an environmental economist who works in the science-policy interface. In 2018/19, she was a fellow from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation under the International Climate Protection program at the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS-Potsdam), exploring the governance challenges of the Water-Energy-Land nexus, adopting biofuels policies in the European Union and Brazil as case studies. Prior to that, she was a researcher at the Center for Sustainability Studies at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), an influential think tank in Brazil for more than five years. There she worked in several projects related to climate change policies, especially carbon pricing, water resources, and sustainable forest management, with the private sector, civil society organizations, and government institutions from state and federal levels.
