a lead personnel to carry out research into internal and external issues that impacts on the Ministry’s mandate. · Further the Division needs this position so to assist or better lead the facilitation of awareness programs without having to rely solely on the ACEO-PPD especially when the ACEO-PPD is occupied with other relevant work of the Ministry. · To advise the Minister on the development of an efficient transport policy for Samoa the above position is highly requested not only to assist the ACEO-PPD for such significant tasks but also to initiate research into all aspects of transport in case the ACEO-PPD is not available. · The above position will also ensure adequate supervision of all tasks relating to policies and employees in the Division in place of the ACEO-PPD. · A principal position will be in charge with the supervision, drafting and revision of MWTI News Bulletin. · This will ensure coherent response to the Ministry and government regarding coordinating relevant policies and other associated matters. · Also, this will assist in coordinating and initiating Legislative reviews and amendments needed by the Ministry. · A principal will assure conformity with primary objectives of the Ministry and solidify constant and efficient respond to matters relating to policies on behalf of the ACEO-PPD and Ministry. · It is a must to obtain a position such as the implementation of relevant policies. 04/2015 – 06/2016 Senior Research Officer- Project/Programming, Ministry of Finance, Apia, Samoa · Appraise project proposals, assess policies and monitor/review ongoing projects/programs – both financial and economic for the Cabinet Development Committee (CDC) and compiles CDC meeting papers. · Assist line ministries formulate/develop projects in accordance with national and sector priorities. · Maintain and update the projects database. · Assist the review, update of the Public Sector Investment Program. · Assist the development of reports on recommendations on policy issues which impact the economy as requested from time to time. · Formulate and prepares sector issues papers and plans as may be required from time to time or as may be to the preparation of the macroeconomic policy papers arising from fiscal and monetary, Government Finance Statistics (GFS), national accounts, balance of payments, external shocks/international and economic development. · Assist the coordination and formulation of the medium-term National Plan (Strategy for the Development of Samoa (SDS) to guide the development of Samoa at the macro-level. · Guides, participates, and reports on consultations with line ministries to be in line with the Strategy for the Development of Samoa (SDS), PFMA and so forth. · Assist the update and maintenance of the macroeconomic revenue and forecast model that generates macroeconomic forecasts on the economy to prepare annual economic statements to support the Budget and to assist in the preparation of the Medium-Term Fiscal Framework. · Represent the Ministry of Finance in relevant advisory committee meetings conducted by respective Line Ministries and report all discussed issues and matters. ·
