Short Bio:
I am the Head of Parliament and Government Relations Unit at the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM), South Africa’s largest trade union in the mining, construction, and energy sectors. My work focuses on advancing labour rights through strategic legislative engagement, policy advocacy, and institutional participation at national and regional levels. I lead NUM’s efforts in shaping and responding to legislation, coordinating submissions to Parliament, and building partnerships that enhance democratic participation and social justice within the extractive industries. I am particularly passionate about youth engagement, the political economy of energy transitions, and inclusive development frameworks.
