Short Bio:
Jesse Scott is International Senior Advisor at the thinktank and policy centre Agora Energiewende. She is working with government donors and private philanthropy to build an emerging economy network of independent energy transition thinktanks and research institutes. During 2015-17 she worked at the International Energy Agency and was a lead author of the Agency’s flagship report Digitalization & Energy. Jesse previously worked in Brussels on EU energy and climate policy in various roles including as Deputy Secretary General at the natural gas sector association Eurogas, Head of Environment at the electricity sector association Eurelectric, Head of Brussels Office at the environmental NGO E3G, and at law firm White & Case. In particular her policy work focuses on EU emissions targets, smart energy systems, carbon markets, and the future of green gas fuels. She holds a degree and masters from Cambridge University. She is an advisor to the Climate Bonds Initiative and to the Florence School of Regulation.
