Short Bio:
I grew up in the small town of Coulee Dam with the largest hydro-electric plant in the US just down the street. My Father was an electronics technician there and when I was young we did not have the same security concerns we have now, so I was able to go on tours with my classmates fairly often. I loved being inside of the Grand Coulee Dam and though I didn’t realize it then it inspired me to become an engineer. My junior year of high school I entered an alternative energy competition held at Washington State university with our project my team and I were able to win the grand prize, and then with another project the next year first in our category. After that first project I knew I wanted to be an engineer. After graduating high school I attended Gonzaga University where I participated in the Bulldog Band (Go Zags!) and achieved a Bachelors of science in Electrical Engineering. During my time in college I was able to work at the Grand Coulee Dam as an intern. A job which after graduation was turned into a full-time position. In the position of electrical engineer, I have worked on a variety of projects and I am currently working on achieving my Professional Engineering license.
