Capacity building programme SADC Women energy entrepreneurs

Discover the First Cohort: Capacity-Building Programme for Women Energy Entrepreneurs in SADC

It is a pleasure to announce the 15 women who were selected for our very first edition of a capacity-building programme dedicated to empowering female energy entrepreneurs from Southern African countries. Run in partnership by GWNET and SACREEE, this initiative will support the participants over the coming months to scale their sustainable energy related-business ventures through coaching and online seminars.

The programme has brought together 15 candidates from 8 SADC Member States: Botswana, Madagascar, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. All of them are operating in key sustainable energy technologies such as solar, biogas, clean cooking, biomass, and energy efficiency. Stay tuned as these inspiring women continue to build their skills and drive meaningful change across the region’s sustainable energy landscape!

This programme is part of the wider project, Energising Women to Advance the Energy Transition in the SADC Region, which aims to empower women in the SADC region in the energy transition. The project is organised by GWNET and SACREEE, and funded by the Austrian Development Agency, the operational unit of International Partnerships Austria.
