Description: The webinar “Financing Pathways for Gender-Just Energy Transitions” hosted by the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP) Gender Expert Group with the Green Finance Platform was held on March 16th. The GGKP Gender Expert Group which GWNET is a member of “convenes leading experts in green growth and gender with the aim of catalysing collective action towards gender equality and women’s empowerment in global green transitions.”
GWNET Senior Advisor, Irene Giner-Reichl, took part in this webinar, which focused on barriers and opportunities for inclusive energy investments to support a just transition. The webinar also saw the launch of the GGKP Gender Expert Group working paper “Powering a Just Energy Transition” which “examines challenges and opportunities for gender-just interventions supporting the energy transition”
