Description: GWNET President, Dr Irene Giner-Reichl, took part in the Diplomatic Academy Students’ Initiative (DASI) conference – an international conference fully organized by current students of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna. Addressed to the general public, it provides a space for international experts, interested students, and relevant stakeholders to explore, analyze, and interact.
The 2021 edition titled “EQUALITY IN PROGRESS: Empowering Women – Much Discussed, Least Conceptualized” invited speakers from diverse backgrounds, to engage in critical discussions, and urge participants to consider gender equality in their daily lives by implementing set strategies to achieve SDG 5 by 2030.
Irene took part in the panel on “Women in Modern Politics”, which focused on required legislative standards, parliamentary ethics, inter-governmental cooperation, public awareness, and other issues concerning gender relations in politics.
