Substantial advancements were made in order to encourage women empowerment and guarantee equal treatment by legislation. The EU is determined to continue developing gender oriented policies. The New Gender Equality Strategy expressed the ambition to create a gender-equal Europe, where all people have an opportunity to develop their capacities and enhance prosperity of the society.”
