Description: The Asia Pacific Solar Research Conference is a solar research conference held annually by the Australian PV Institute with support from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency. The conference also provides “a unique opportunity to combine the annual research reviews of Australia’s key solar research groups, representing researchers from around the region.”
On the second day of the conference, GWNET Executive Director, Christine Lins, took part in a plenary session, where she gave a presentation on “Energising women to advance the energy transition.” This presentation put forward the current state of gender equality in the solar sector, barriers in recruitment, advancement, and retainment of women, as well as opportunities and benefits for gender mainstreaming.
