The Global Women’s Network for the Energy Transition (GWNET) on behalf of the German Energy Agency (dena) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), under the German bilateral energy partnerships, is excited to highlight the mentors for the second cohort of the “Women in Energy Empowerment” mentoring programme.

Become a Mentor – What’s in it for You?
As a mentor, you get the opportunity to give something valuable back to more junior professionals and to expand your own knowledge through the mentees’ perspective.
Mentoring will contribute to personal and professional development for both you and your mentee, as well as, shaping the direction of future generations within your field of expertise. I am Maitreyi Karthik, Deputy Programme Manager – Renewable Energy with Centre for Science and Environment, New Delhi, India. I am a clean energy professional and I have experience of about 10 years in the energy & environment sector. I am a member of GWNET and passionate about bringing my experience towards contributing to gender development in the energy domain and would like to mentor professionals about technology aspects, risks, challenges, and the financials of the sector.
I have provided many energy transition training and am an expert speaker at many national and international conferences. I have authored some major reports about the energy trade and infrastructure in South Asia and the BIMSTEC region with many articles published in major magazines across the globe.
