In unison with what was expressed by many leaders and concerned women and men all over the world, we at GWNET strongly condemn the military aggression against Ukraine. We sincerely hope and wish that lives are spared, destruction is limited and that peace will soon prevail again.
The current situation urges us to work in an even more determined fashion for a transition towards climate-neutral energy systems that are truly inclusive and just. This can only happen if women have their rightful place at the table, in all matters related to energy, and more generally in all matters of societal importance, and quite definitely also when it comes to rebuilding trust and cooperation in Eastern Europe and beyond.
