Description: The session of Steer it Up centred on two European H2020 projects, Renaissance and Compile, revealing how participatory approaches and user-centred tools can support new energy communities. The Renaissance Project, a community-driven project, gave participants the chance to explore real-time management of energy assets, network and storage. On the other hand, the Compile Project elaborated on innovative aspects of five pilot sites that are critical to maximise societal benefits and adopt technological solutions and tools.
GWNET Executive Director, Christine Lins, “demonstrated the high involvement of women in energy production and sharing choices both in households and in local communities and advocated for more research and capacity building in this direction.” (Renaissance)
