Description: The Africa-EU Energy Partnership (AEEP) held its Forum “Aligning Energies for a Green and Prosperous Africa” with the primary goal to help shape the future focus of Africa and Europe’s collaboration on energy and climate.
During the Forum, participants had the opportunity to engage on key questions on the future of energy in Africa and diversify views into translating these efforts into action.
GWNET represented the dimension “Empowered Energy Actors – Women”, where Executive Director, Christine Lins, in collaboration with Senior Advisor, Irene Giner-Reichl; Communications Manager, Davina Ngei and Communications Assistant, Dea Kabashi, facilitated a virtual booth with ENERGIA that amplified the advocacy of our efforts in women empowerment in the sector and our collaborative work with the African continent to ensure a just energy transition.
